Pakistani Coach Bob Woolmer has died in the Kingston Hospital, Jamaica after being found unconscious in his Hotel Room a few hours after Pakistan's shocking elimination from the World Cup. He was 58. Alan Donald has confirmed to a local news channel that he dies due to a massive heart attack. Its a possibility that he suffered from a heart attack due to immense pressure and shock of the defeat in the macth against Ireland. Pakistan Cricket Fans and former Pakistani Cricketers have been blaming Bob Woolmer and Inzaman for their poor run of form. There were also reports of disputed within the team. Many believed that he should be sacked. And now, after being eliminated from the World Cup, there was always the fear of criticism on returning to Pakistan. Also, he was diabetic. I really feel sad and sorry for his family who'll soon be arriving in the West Indies. This is a great loss to the Cricketing fraternity. He was one of the best coaches in the World and he was the first one to use Laptops to analyze players' performance. May his soul Rest in Peace.

Even i feel sorry for the person. but its not the first time pakistan is out of the World Cup in the first round itself..it happened in 2003 also.. but suffering a defeat from Ireland is pathetic.pakistani players are seriously running out of form.. well india is not far away from the same.. may b greg chappell is going to get a heart attack too for india's pathetic performance against Bangladesh...

Yes, no doubt that Bob Woolmer was a Great coach. What I feel is he was the man behind the success of South African team as well. He was the coach of SA team during 99 world cup. He is the reason behind what SA team is now. He spent all his life with cricket. This is not only a loss for his family but also to cricket world. I really feel sorry for his family. May his soul Rest in Peace.

Thanks nishant for the news!! But its extremely sad news for cricket arena! I hope the case is solved, I am sure there's more to it! Cricket is absolutely god for lot of people, but game is game, being fanatic is no way to react for cheering any team. One cannot blame the coach if the team is out, I hope all of the people pray to god that his soul rests in peace and give strength to his family!!

Man, i also feel sorry for his family. His sudden demise is a great shock to the whole cricketing world. He may be under immense pressure after Pakistans shocking defeat to Ireland in the world Cup which may be the reason of this grave mishap.

Its quite natural in the sub continent, especially India and Pakistan to blame the Coaches and Captains for the Team's bad performances. And thats wrong. Its not the coach who goes out there to bat and bowl and its not only the captain who can win matches for a team. Its a collective performance which leads to triumphs.

Yes this is quite unfortunate of him, & not only to him but also to the coaches in the subcontinent .It has been the tendency of the people in the subcontinent to pressurise the team members & the coaches of their team to blame up for the loss & they imbard a lots of pressure on them so that they are so much mentally disturbed & they are into lots of depression that they just are not able to get away of it ,& that too in world cup tournament,it really pains a lot for them.So I wholly make the ignorance of the people responsible for it..So it is the people & their attitude responsible for the whole masacre.......

Yes, it is sad and I would say more than likely down to stress and/or maybe genetics. I had an attack last year when I was 58 too. I was going through a rough patch at the time and couldn't believe it because I have practiced daily meditation for the last 20+ years, been doing plenty of walking and exercise and watching my diet. It didn't feel like a heart attack, but more like indigestion and it took an ECG to confirm it. I was staying calm by using a meditative technique which my doctor's later said saved my life. Why did I have it? Mostly genetics (my father had one at the same age) but stressing about an earlier situation that I could do nothing about, didn't help.

its sad. i mean at one time sports was supposed to help ppl mentally and physically. it was considered to rejuvinate the mind and the body. alas, now in this competitive world even sport has lost its true touch. i was deeply shocked when i hear the news in the night yesterday and pray that his family finds some peace. it is indeed extremly saddening to loose a loved one, but someone who was loved as he is. i had the pleasure of meeting him once and he was really this jolly happy-go-lucky type of person. i guess all the stress took its final toll on him. Last but not the least, i feel the game of cricket is loosing its touch. i used to watch the world cup matches like a mad person once but now the best teams are so farrrr behind. its like everything they do is pathetic. after all these years one would wonder that they might learnt to be better.
