If they are small, take them in with you. If they are older kids and you do leave them in the car. Lock the car and always taske your keys with you. Make sure the kids know not to get behind the wheel of the car.

Well it is hard in those situations when you have to take the kids back in forth with you into the gas station or stores especially if you have a newborn or little ones but you never take that chance and leave them in the car. I'm always taking the kids everywhere with me so I'm used to constantly taking them in and out of the car with me everywhere I go. If it's really that bad outside and it can wait, make the hubby go and get the gas before you have to go somewhere with the kids, I always do.

I hate getting gas with my kids because of this. I always take them with me but I have a 3 year old & a 6 month old, I usually get their dad to get the gas when he takes the car, because I have to get them both out go pay put them back in & pump the gas this takes almost 20 minutes, just to get gas. I would never leave them in the car though.
