I am having a birthday party next weekend for my son who is turning 3. what was I thinking? There will be 10 other kids here at my house ranging in ages 2-5. Any suggestions on activities for them that will keep them entertained and hopefully no temper tantrums? The party will be in my house and is scheduled fom 1pm-4pm. The ground in my yard is still pretty muddy so I think outdoor activities are out. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Games such as pass the parcel, musical bumps, hide and seek are always a good hit with younger kids. Dancing is good too. Perhaps you could give them all little fairy cakes to decorate. A pinyada (spelling lol). Balloons are often popular but can scare some kids if they pop! Good luck with it and happy birthday to your little one.

Try taking them back to classics. Musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey that sort of thing. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Having party games at that age will be tough. You can always take the easy way out. Get some party bags, fill with goodies. When the children leave give them each a bag. If you ae really brave and wan to do games, pin the tail on the donkey is good. You can use tape instead of pins. Musical chairs is fun, Dropping clothespins in the bottle is fun. The party bags are still a good idea, that way each child gets to leave with something. Since you will be having small kids there, you have to becareful what kind of candy to put in bags. Fruit snacks are good, small bags of chips, small toys, etc. You can go to the dollar store and find lots of stuff. Good luck, What were you thinking, LOL.
