If you burn a CD to a computer that you own, then sell the CD is it legal or illegal to have downloaded it to your computer?

When you buy a CD you own the CD but not the rights to the music so you can burn that CD to your computer for your own use but once you sell the music from your computer that is illegal...

Yes, I agree with lilaclady. You can only use it for your own, and you cannot sell it to anyone else if you burn a illegal copy. Of course you can sell the original version to others as a second hand stuff! =P

I would think thats its illegal to do that because thats copyrighting the music and then reproducing it and selling it to make your own profit.

It's not illegal if you copy the the cd to your computer,as soon you share the cd trough filesharing program it becomes illegal.
