Yipee, hurray for construction sites that have left over materials. I am a member of Yahoo groups FreeCycle for the East Central Indiana chapter. And I put an ad in asking for bricks. I got more than one response. One was a response for used bricks that they have at a trailer park, that they would love to have hauled off. The other was from a construction site, these are new, just left overs from the job. I'm excited because I am going to use these Free bricks I am getting to build a patio, and now since I have more than enough for the patio, I am also going to try to build a fireplace or some type of pit, for entertaining and so we have a place to sit out in the back yard. I am so stoked, I am picking them up this week and can get started as soon as we have a warm day. I can't wait. I love to build things and to make things. Do you? What kind of projects do you have planned this year?

For starters...getting this place looking decent enough that Russell won't TOTALLY freak out when he sees it and never want to have anything to do with me again! LOL Seriously, I'm hoping to totally redo the bathroom, for starters--though, actually, I need to straighten up the rest of the place for starters so that it will be easier to get the bathroom redone. Do some work on my kitchen sink--which is dreadful! It needs a totally-new faucet that doesn't leak all the time and form rust! YEECH! So much needing done that it's making me exhausted just to write about it!

Good for you. Freecycle is a grand organization. We have gotten furniture which we needed after the fire. Have gotten panelling too. Got a stacked washer and dryer all for showing up and taking. Glad you are motivated and that you will have things to celebrate over the summer. Hope you post some pictures in some way so we can celebrate with you. Again we hope to rebuild our house this summer since part of it is damaged and quite fixable.

I love Freecycle, it is great. I use it also when I want to get rid of things that really aren't worth selling. Or if I see someone needs something that I have, that I am not using. I also have gotten some homeschooling supplies there. I am so sorry to hear about your house. I think I might have read something about it before. It is good that you are going to rebuild your home. Some friends of mine house caught on fire, the day their baby was born. They rebuilt their home, and love it even more, because of the work they put into it. Good luck, maybe you might even be able to get some lumber left over from another job off of freecycle. Shoot if I am able to get brand new bricks from a left over job, who know what kind of other things you can get. I am getting 3000 new bricks, free. I only need 450 for the patio. I have been inspired to make a firepit or some sort of fireplace. Then I will freecycle what ever is left, if my brother in-law don't need them. Good luck on your projects, and try to enjoy it.

I think that is a wonderful good idea and you should keep up the good work. I have a bathroom to finish.
