I don't think it was a shock win. The Bangladeshi team came with definite plane and executed it very well. The Indian team since a long time has been suffering from opening problem, poor fielding and inconsistent bowling. Bangladesh just batted, bowled and fielded like mad men to inflict the defeat. We have seen how anger and frustration can cause severe tension, which has already claimed one life (woolmer). I think its unrealistic for Indian fans to expect Indian team to win especially when their team is ranked No.6 as per Icc rankings. Our main stroke players like Dhoni, Sehwag, Uthappa will fail if the surface assists seam bowling. Thats what happens to players who have the ability to only play in flat wickets with a true bounce. All the pitches in West Indies have been relaid, so their behavior has become unpredictable, everyone expected the spinners to be lethal. However, its the seam bowlers who extract a lot of movement who have inflicted the maximum damage. The best example of a sub continent team failing against movement is Pakistan who just could not come into terms with the movement of the pitch and collapsed like a pack of cards. Similarly, Indian think tank will now have to reshuffle the batting (ganguly, tendulkar, dravid (in order)) instead of having Sehwag or Uthappa who are big suspects against the moving ball.

It is shame for India losing match against Bangladesh. Indian team are much experienced then Bangladesh. They played like foolishly. Openers didn't start well. Middle order batsman didn't perform well. Bowlers didn't bowl upto the mark. They are giving wide and no balls.

our indian team bowling attack was not strong and experienced one..it is a weak one..hence to compensate it the batsmen should work hard and put high total..but they did not do that in the match against bangladesh.it is the main reason..the reason for the early exit from the world cup is batsmen..

They were very overconfident and hot that they can easily win against bangladesh. It happened right from the start when all so-called great captain decided to bat first on the pitch which was very much bowler friendly. I do not think that the captain and the team management including the coach who had not aware of the fact because few days earlier to teams played on the same pitch and at that time it was very much clearer that the wickets would do a lot for the bowlers. I guess the captain thought that they can easily play against the opposite and score some big runs. But also we can say that if Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first then also we had to bat. All the batsmen except a few well really flop. There was a problem in the batting order in the opening partnership. None of the great players of our team were looking to take singles. The bowlers were on top off world-class batsmen of our team. And also during the bowling ideas where something which were not inside the head of AND when all the bowlers was so blunt that they never looked like taking a wicket. In the captain never even bothered to encourage his players when the opponents were hitting them over the ground. I think this is well a very good captain takes the challenge and tries his level best for the team. If everything is going for you then there is no real test and anyone can do that but when things are against you you're on the wall in Europe to fight your way back that is the time when the captain's character comes to play and I think we seriously want our previous captain back.

Many of the people are thinking about the same thing tat why our captain did not select to bowl first after winning the toss, where the pitch is suitable for the bowlers...but changing the captain in the final hour will not be good for our team....

Cant belittle Bangladesh. They played excellent cricket. India did not play preofessionaly. But it is good for India to lose first match. But I hope they woudl play magnificently and beat both Srilanka and Bermuda convincingly to reach super 8. Once they are there, we can expect really nice game from. Let us hold our breath and pray.

its not good to lose the 1st match..since we lost the match against bangladesh we should work hard in the forthcoming matches against bermuda and srilanka..if we have won our 1st match we can feel free..but it is not the situtaion now..so our players should work hard now..

I'm not angry with rottem chickens . These people never played with confidence with bangladeshians and the result was on the scoreboard. I felt only ganguly and yuvraj were there who brought a glimse of smile on our face.
