I have been always conscious of my stomach. because it's a little big. Me myself am not big, but lunchtime today,my 10- year old son told me that I need to diet. I asked her if i'm that fat, he said no, its just that my stomach bulges when i sit down. should i exercise?

I think it's only up to you to decide. If it's OK for you, you can explain to your son that it should be also all right for him. As we say in our country "A good man should be large" meaning that if a person is a bit plump, it doesn't matter, the more important is that he's a good person.

Exercise is always good even if you haven't stomach bulges problem. If you can do it and you like start exercise.I wish i do too but I don't like the exercise very much.By the way don't worry, children says things like this.I'm not fat but not thin too and my 11 years old son told me many times i must exercise and loose some weight too lol:

it's normal that when we sit down our stomach bulges. it's also natural for a child to comment on what he sees specially if you're with him the whole day of the week. you know children are good observers and there's nothing wrong if we listen to them also and take their recommendation as well.
