What Drives People To Troll On The Internet?

Don't you hate trolls on message boards? Nothing can ruin a good thread on a board like a damn troll. Because people just can't resist feeding it. Here little troll, have a post. Boom, troll never leaves.
What drives people to this? What's the thrill? What's the point?

What on earth is a troll on a message board??? I only know of troll in Norway.... Pls explain!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Internet trolls are people who post a message exaggerating a subject, hoping someone will come in and correct them. They gain your confidence, then they exploit you.
