If there is a God, what will their punishment be for allowing people to follow false idols???

In the bible God is not very forgiving, in fact he punishes all of man for their sins but flooding the earth so I don't think he will treat them lightly. I would imagine being banished to hell for eternity or other such punishment. Of course for me my only crime is not believing in him, so I'll probably only get 10 years with a few years less for good behaviour!
