Well I guess a lot depends on the cultural norms of your country. There must be things to do or not to do in a job interview. I am a Western person and during my career I have interviewed many people. I will tell you what I was looking for, but it may not all apply to applicants for jobs in China. 1. A flawless resume. No spelling and typing errors. 2.The applicant should do research on the company before coming to the interview. 3. The applicant should ask questions about the company if invited to do so. 4. The applicant should show enthusiasm. 5.First impressions are formed instantly, so the applicant should walk in with confidence and a nice smile on the face. 6. The applicant should relax enough to cheerfully answer some opening questions that are not related to the job, such as what subjects did you like in school etc. etc. 7. The applicant should dress with care. Clothes should be nicely pressed and shoes shining like a mirror, hair freshly washed, good cut and combed, fingernails clean, no flashy jewelry that distracts the interviewer. 8. When invited the applicant should talk about his achievements, how he/she would solve problems etc. In other words sell his/her good qualities. 9. The applicant should thank the interviewer for his/her time and follow up in a few days. As I said before there may be do's and dont's depending on the customs of your country. Talk to someone who has successfully landed a job and ask them how their interview went. Good luck.
