Does anyone out there who is over 40 feel like your body is falling apart? I have always been in good shape. Not extremely thin~ always working on loosing those last 5 pounds. Last week I went for a walk (amost 2 miles) and the next day I felt like someone beat me up. My legs were killing me. My knees especially hurt. After 4 days, I was starting to realize that my knees are still hurting. I have a hard time walking up and down the stairs. Is this common? People have always told me, "wait til your 40 , thing start going south" Anyone else experiencing this?

I feel pretty strong and good and I am in my 40's. I have
some medical problems too and people say that I am really
doing well. Sometimes I surprise them with the amount
of walking and work I can do. I think age does matter
sometimes but you cannot let it make you think that you
are slower or not as active because of your age. I know
some people that are in their 80's and 90's and they
surely can surprise me by the things they can do.

Yes certainly in one way or another we all feel gravity's pull after 40. But I'm not worried as long as my mind doesn't feel it.
