Do You Say Anything?

So, you're at the park with your kids, or your at the mall, or amusement park, or wherever, and you overhear a group of young kids using extremely foul language. Do you say anything to them? Or do you roll your eyes and walk away? For me, it's hard not to say anything. Especially when my own kids are around them. One instance, was when I was at an amusement park. My kids weren't with me, I was with a friend. There were these two kids, had to be around the age of 10 or 11, and they were laughing and joking with each other and they saw me smoking a cigarette on the smoking bench. One of them came over to me and said, "Hey lady, let me get a square." And I said NO, absolutely not. They continued to argue with me and demand a cigarette and I told them they were not old enough and to come talk to me when they were 18. So they proceeded to curse me out and call the B word and everything else under the sun. So I asked them where their parents were and they said that they had been dropped off and could do what they wanted!! Who leaves a 10 and 11 yr old at an amusement park by themselves??????? Another situation was a week or so ago, at the park by my house, I was there with my kids and this little girl was cursing a little boy out. The girl had to be about 12. And I told her straight up not to use that kind of language around my kids or myself, or I would find out who her parents were and let them know how dirty their daughters mouth was. It just really annoys me that alot of kids these days are not taught any respect. Either that or their taught but these kids don't listen. My kids know that when they do something bad, whether we are around or not, we will eventually find out. We always do and it's been proven time and time again....the trick is, as a parent, always being involved with your child's life. Luckily for me, my kids always get themselves caught by giving themselves away...they are horrible liars!!! LMAO.

I am with you. When my kids are with me I will try to ask them to avoid using foul language arroundthe younger kids. Then these are older teenagers and normally they say sorry and either move away from me sothey cantalk the way they want to or they curb there language.
