We hardly ever have leftovers, so theres no wastage of food. I buy enough perishable items to get through the week, if we run out I go to the store. If we do have leftovers I feed it to our dog, so we save a bit there on dogfood.

With as many animals as I have in my house, no food gets wasted here. Leftovers that we don't plan to eat later become treats for the dogs (if it's meat) or the bunnies (if it's vegetables).

Definitely I don't want to throw food. But sometime it happens to me that I forget about some item in the freedge and it goes bad. When I have to thorw them I feel really bad. To stop wastage of food I try not to buy bulk amount of vegetables and fruits. If we go every week to buy these two item we can stop wastage to some extent, as these items get spoild very soon. Also I use left over the next day or if something left from lunch I try it to use for dinner.

I save anything that is left. If its vegetables I just reheat them the next day and blend them into soup for lunch. If its salads I serve it up with dinner the next day etc. I do try not to throw any food away especially as I'm on such a tight budget.

We are very careful not to buy more food than we will use. I prefere to shop more often and always have fresh food that we use all of, rather than shop in bulk every two weeks. If we get leftovers we will have it for lunch the next day. We also have a freezer - good if we have more than we can eat before it goes bad. there is one thing that we sometimes throw out: eggs. i think we'll use them, and then I just do not want any for a while. And i will not eat eggs after the expiery date.

I will try to cook just enough for the whole family, but was not very successful, and it the end there are leftover. If the left over is a little, I will split to everyone on the table to clear it off rather than keeping in the fridge. If there are a fair bit, that is enough for a single meal, I will keep it in the fridge, but have a rule that discard leftover if it more that 3 days

We try very hard not to waste food. If we've made way too much of something we will freeze the leftover meal and have it again another day. Any suitable table scraps go into our dog's dinner. If we have leftover meat and veggies, you can bet that it will go into a casserole within a couple of days.

Yes, I think we do, sometimes we'll go through the fridge and find things that need to be used sooner than later, and try to make a dinner with those things. It is a fun thing to do with your partner, and it helps slow down on throwing things away for no reason.
