Sometimes we just enjoy our bed so much and loves to be with the tranquil moments with your pillows and stuffed toys some more that you get up a lil late... this happened to me when I was yet schooling...:P or maybe am just too tired to get up and go to school.. lol My mom then provided me with an alarm clock so I won't have any excuse not to get up on time... well, what else could I do but to set that alarm clock and get up when it rings in the morning coz its sound is pretty annoying when I don't turn it off, especially that it gets louder and louder...*sigh* how about you, do you still need an alarm clock to wake you up? if so, where do you position your alarm clock, somewhere withing your reach so you can easily grab it and turn it off so it won't bother the other people, or on a desk a lil far that you need to stand up before you can turn it off?:P

I might sometimes wake up before the alarm rings.. but I definitely need an alarm clock if I have to get up for an appointment. Otherwise, I will just sleep till I am tired from sleeping lol. :P For me, I will set at least 3 alarms if I really need to wake up. I have one just near my head - my table alarm. Another would be sitting on my desk which is about 2-3 metres away from my bed. The last would be my cellphone - I would either place it next to my table clock or somewhere on another table, or the other side of my bed - just so that I would have trouble switching off the alarm. This would increase the likelihood of me waking up in time. :P

When I was in high school, I sued an alarm clock but found that my body clock was working just fine. Most of the times I would wake up and beat my alarm clock, being able to turn it off without ever having to hear a single, shrieking noise. Now, to get to work, I need it. I set it for half an hour before I need to be up to get ready and play "snooze tag" with it. I figure I start the process a half hour early and it will get me up on time. My alarm clock is my cell phone, so at least its a pleasant ring tone that wakes me up. I usually keep it next to the bed cause I still roll over and get a few extra minutes every morning.

Well actually my colleague is my alarm clock i guess. cause every morning at 7am he would be waiting outside my front gate with our company car. So in order not to let him get pissed off at me (cos' he's quite a big guy and "emotionally" unstable), i would wake up at 6am every morning! I guess it's my sub-conscious mind that is being intimidated here by his 'aura' i suppose...hehe

Yes I do need an alarm clock. I also have 2 cats that come running in when they hear the alarm clock and purr and tickle my face and hands to wake me up because they want to get pet.

My alarm clock beeps (and is very annoying!) to wake me, or else I'd sleep until afternoon! I have it across the room from my bed, so that I have to physically get up and shut it off. If I didn't, I'd just shut it off and go back to sleep!

alarm clock is necessary to me at crucial times only..like exams or any such situations where we really need to keep up time..otherwise my alarm will be my mom only..she will know at what time to wake me up and make me..noramally i dont use alarm but at times when i use.i'll keep it near me only.because its me who must get up after the alarm and not others.hence my alarm will be near me only. Nowadays i have practised to get without both alarms a clock as well as my mom.Its lik we must set up mind alarm for ourselves.before going to sleep we must fix in mind for the time we must get up..surely our mind will not make us sleep more than tht time..its hard to implement but it can be adopted by practise..so u guys can also try this

Its weird, but I don't need an alarm clock to wake up! My internal clock wakes me up around the time I need to wake up. I haven't needed an alarm clock since I was 15 years old.

Oh my gosh, yes, I still need an alarm clock to wake me up. Sometimes though like in the spring and summer I will wake up right at the time I have to wake up 7 a.m because the sun is shining through my window and that wakes me up but most of the time I have to wake up with the alarm clock. Me and the hubby go to bed so late because he works so late so night time is the only time we really have to spend together so we go to bed around 1 a.m. or sometimes a little later. Sometimes it's so hard to do and spend my whole day up all day again with my 3 kids and all the other stuff that goes in to being a stay at home mom but that's just life so I gotta live with it:)

For the most part I don't need an alarm clock. I always hated the sound of it going off so I sort of trained myself to wake up before it went off. After all when you are a girl with an alarm clock that plays "oh what a beautiful morning" every day you dont want to hear it. Now,after all these years I still wake up early and lie there waiting for my dog to whimper that she wants to go outside. Just like having a little kid again. No late sleeping for me. My son on the other hand could sleep through a bomb. He has a lot of trouble getting up.

I am using an alarm clock when I wake up, but I'm working on not using it anymore, and trust my body clock. If you just can't get your butt out of the bed in the mornings there are some techniques.... We usually find excuses for us not to wake up. like if you said to your self "I'll just sleep 10 more minutes" but then you sleep for more half an hour or more. If you want to avoid this, simply get out of bed RIGHT AFTER you wake, so you don't find an excuse for you to sleep some more. Or you can just put your alarm clock far away from bed you you have to get out of bed to turn it off, so when you do it, you don't want to stay in bed anymore.... P.S. sleeping TOO much, especially in weekends may damage your inner sleep clock! :)

Yes you are right that you are completely relaxed in the morning when the alarm goes on ringing to wake you up. I put up alarm on my cell phone.

Hi Rexy, I always tell myself that I need an alarm clock but all the time I wake up about 5 minutes before it goes off. Even when I am not working and i dont set it, I still wake up at the same time. lol

i use my cellphone's alarm and the tone i use is the cockadoodle-doo of a rooster. i place the phone on a table beyond my reach from the bed so that i'd be forced to get up when it sounds off in the morning. sometimes though, i still go back to bed after turning on the "snooze" button. :-)

yeah..i need an alarm clock to wake me up..especially when ihave to go an appointment or have to go to important obligations..but if not i would not set my alarm clock..il rather stay o my bed al day long..especially..no work the next day or i went home late from gimmicks or from a dinner meeting. I remember when i'm stll in my elementary and high school days me and my younger sisters alarm clock was our mom or sometimes dad. They would knock the door and you should answer..yes''im already awake..coz if not..they would brag our door lol!..but the good thing was there was already heated water for us to use fortaking a bath so we would not get cold..and he table was already set. So caring!thanks mm and dad..i remember the those days...sigh ^-^ snd oh, i rather and need to position my alarm clock near my head so i can hear it coz sometimes i didn't hear it and it made me late from school(and that was during my college days and some of my high days,lol)...and yeah but you sometimes i need to grab it and turn it off so it won't bother the other people sleeping..and it would not bother me..coz i get ack to my sleep..hehe!!!^-^
