Does anyone have suggestions on how to sell on Ebay?

I have tried to sell a few things around the house and failed, yet I see millions of people selling things all the time. I'm not up to date on the latest crazes or how to get a supplier and all that. But my idea is... I am an artist and I engrave glass. I have done mirrors, picture frames (the glass inside the frame) coffee cups, even did small candles as wedding favors for a family member. I would love to start a small business taking orders and doing this hobby I love. However, after looking on ebay, it seems so many people already offer these types of items... mostly computerized though. This is all my own work, start to finish, by hand. Does any one have suggestions? I have the time to create the product, but not the time or money to promote it. Help!!

Hi, just a quick tip: I used to sell on ebay, and silly as it sounds I used to put on higher prices than competitors for my handmade posters, and in the end they started selling, although it wasnt an overnight success, it may be worth looking at...or if you wanted to make some money quicker you could try selling your products perhaps wholesale to other ebay sellers...I hope you have success in your ebay venture...I am sure you will if you keep up with it :)
