Look at the picture of mushrooms and let me know if they are edible?

It is impossible to be completely certain from the image whether these are edible or not, You also need to look at whether the base stains yellow, what they smell like, growing habit, country and spore print. Its likely that they are not anything seriously poisonous, but whether they are edible is another matter

Thanks for the information. They were growing in my neighbor's yard in Michigan. The large one was about the size of a soup bowl. We did not eat them as we did not know and could not find any info any where else. They are gone now.

The photo is too small. The image is too small. A large photo is best for identifying species. It could be a lot of things. What is growing around the area where the mushrooms are growing?

You are right, the picture is too small. Somehow the wrong size picture got uploaded. The mushrooms are growing on my neighbor's front lawn in Michigan, USA.

It looks like a species from Amanita family. But they prefer growing around pines. It might be easier to identify if you were to look for mushrooms that grow in lawns. Never eat them unless you know they are safe. You might be able to visit your local extension. They might know what it is.

I'm not sure, obviously, but you can try to get some documentation about this: family: LYCOPERDACEAE sp: Calvatia gigantea (season: Summer-Autumn)
