First I wanted to say thank-you to Reese for telling me about Associated Content. I can now feel how excited you were when your poem was published. This is so cool, and hope you all check it out, and vote, rate, or let me know what you thought. This is my story on how I make it with MS. About being in denial, and then finding others who helped me make it through having MS. www.associatedcontent.com/article/174747/right_of_passage.html I hope you all like it as much as I did writting it.

The first thing I wrote for AC was about my diagnosis with MS. Apparently, a lot of our not diagnosed correctly. For me, it was my ophthalmologist who said, "There are people out there with this that you would never even know are sick. Be one of them..." It really does help to connect with other people who are survivors and have made it through the denial...

I agree sometimes it takes years for others to be dx'd. Have heard from others they to were dx'd because of eyesight problems. I didn't have/or experience ON until about 3 yrs ago. I was lucky to find out what was wrong with me pretty quickly. Thanks for leaving a comment I apperciate you sharing.

I too have found out you have to accept the disease. My friends (Yahoo groups MSFriends 2) have shown me the way to do this. I personally consider MS a blessing because of meeting my boyfrind in the Yahoo group 9 1/2 years ago (together for 3 1/2).He was dx'd 25 years ago and me...10 years ago. Your story is truly inspirational. You should be very proud.
