I rarely carry cash much anymore. I pay for almost everything with a debit card. I find it so much faster than even cash. Do you use cash or a debit card to pay???

I don't have credit card yet. I'm just 20 and the requirement is 21. So i'll be qualified to get a credit card next year. I have supplementary cards from my mom but i always have to inform and ask her permission before using them. So most of the time, i use cash when making purchases. Even if i am qualified, i think i will still be using cash. I hate interest that's why. And credit cards are temptations. =)

Ooopppss!! Sorry... The topic was about debit card. Anyway, i don't have debit cards. I'm not sure if you consider your atm card a debit card since you can use them also when making purchases. But i think there's a differences between the two. Anyway, i also don't bring cash that often. I use my atm card when making purchases. I think its also a form of control in spending money since i don't have to withdraw extra money and spend them on something else. =)

if the item is less than $5.00, i usually pay in cash. above that i use my credit card because it's more convenient and earns me rewards points.

Mostly debit card, I feel safer witout carrying cash, it's just something else to ave to worry about. I have a lot to do with 2 boys shopping and if I put a purse full of cash down I'm more likely to loose the cash tahtn if I lost thecard and the cash was in the account. I do my weekly shop online and try to never carry cash unless I need it for the corner shop.

i dont carry cash anymore, ever since i signed up for a bank account and got my debit card. i pay everything with that, even if the product cost less money, i still use my debit card. when i go places that dont accept debit cards, i only stare on what i wanted to buy.

I'm like you I rarely carry cash. I pay for absolutely everything by debit card unless it's a bigger purchase where I may use a credit card. I try to carry enough for coffee but actually I've even had to scratch around to find enough change to go for coffee.

i used to carry mainly cash. But lately the last couple months i figured it was easier just to move money from my savings into my checking and just use the debit/credit card. It seems that i spend less when i dont have cash and i use the card instead.Plus when you use the debit card at stores it automatically comes out not like waiting 2-3 days come out as a credit card.

I pay cash as I do not have any cards and I find it easier to keep an eye on things that way to

I use debit card in most places. If I am not sure about the place or I am on road trip, I pay cash. I don't have more than $20 with me at the time.

I prefer to use my debit card. Since I have them registered with UPromise.com I can actually get even more out of my usual shopping. Anytime there is a place that doesn't take the debit portion, they will usually accept the transaction as a credit transaction. Hubby prefers to use cash, but I prefer the speed of the card. :)

We use out debit card for almost everything which can cause an issue from time to time when we end up someplace that doesn't accept them. LOL...I agree that the speed and conveinience is nice, but I think I spend more using one than I would with cash. It just is easier not to realize what you are spending !
