Bacillus subtiis is a Gram-positive, catalase-positive bacterium commonly found in soil! Did you know that? It's a member of the genus bacillus, B. subtilis has the ability to form a tough, protective endospore, allowing the organism to tolerate extreme environmental conditions. Unlike several other well-known species, B. subtilis has historically been classified as an obligate aerobe, though recent research has demonstrated that this it not strictly correct.

Yes, I do know that it is Gram positive and catalase positive, as well as others. It is my "Unknown" bacteria project.
Do you have a science background?
We are learning about virus's right now, it's very interesting. Alot of information to take in all at once though!
