If you watch the Power Rangers or have kids that watch the Power Rangers and have caught some of the new episodes, what do you think of the new Power Ranger Team: Operation Overdrive? Personally... I don't care for them. I don't see them as a team, I don't see the point of the dad or the butler. They are just not as charming as some of the past Power Ranger teams. It took me a little while to get into Mystic Force but I just can't get into Operation Overdrive. Usually I tape it for my kids but I don't know if I'll be able to keep taping this one. The only thing I do like is the ice bad guy. His costume is pretty cool.

Operation Overdrive is more of a "worldwide cast", unlike Mystic Force which had a "cast down under" since the whole cast hails from the Oceanian continent. You have James MacLurcan and Caitlin Murphy, two Aussies, Samuell Benta, a Caribbean-born British, Gareth Yuen, an Asian-born Australian (I don't know where his parents come from, but he is of Chinese desent), and Rhoda Montemayor, a Filipino-born (Pinoy Ako!!!!!) British. In short, two Australians, a Caribbean, a Filipino, and an Asian of Chinese descent. Four countries represented by the current rangers.

I am having a hard time tolerating them, even for the sake of the kids. I think this just may be one of the worst teams ever. I've seen every Power Ranger team from Mighty Morphins to now and while I didn't like some of the others all that much, this Operation Overdrive is not growing on me yet. I will watch a few more weeks and see if I can get to liking them but right now, I don't like them.
