RIP Joey

My friend just emailed me with a subject heading of 'Hey' and when i opened it i was alarmed to find out that she was telling me that her budgie joey died last night. What had happened was the budgie had a really frantic time and was flying round his big cage throwing himself into the sides. Do you think that the bird knew he was dying and was in pain or do u think he ws just having fun and it got ugly?

In regards to the budgie, I think that the bird was in pain and that is why he was throwing himself around, they should of taken the budgie out of the cage when they seen it doing this so that it would not hurt itself.

that is awfully sad. Im so sorry to hear that about your friend. I know that budgies are not as affectionate as cats and dogs but you still tend to develop a bit of an attachment to them and it is disheartening when they are gone. I hope that your friend is ok and im sure she will get another pet one day and remember joey through that pet
