Where do you shop for your prescription drugs?

I absolutely hate going to Rite Aid for prescriptions, although I don't mind shopping there for other things. In other towns it may be different, but at our local Rite Aid it always seems to take forever for them to fill even the simplest prescription. I'm sorry, but how long does it take to run the insurance information, print the lable, and attach it to a bottle that is already filled?
I have had to wait up to 2 hours at Rite Aid for prescriptions on several occasions when they had people ahead of me because they tend to get themselves so far behind. A few times they have even gotten so far behind that they have even told me that I would have to come back the next day because there was no way they would possibly be able to get to it that day.
When I go to the Pioneer Pharmacy across the street, it took them no more than 15 minutes to fill the same prescription, and they had two people in line ahead of me. That averages out to about 5 minutes per person instead of the 30 minutes that my one prescription took at Rite Aid.
What drug store do you use and why. Have you ever had a similar experience with a pharmacy? If you did, would you return, or would you find another pharmacy?

I go to wal-mart to fill my prescriptions. I like it because I have a discount card and they give it at $4 per prescription price.

I use a mail-order system for one of my medications, where I simply call to refill and they send it too me. For the scripts I need to get filled in store, I usually go to the Sam's Club pharmacy because its the cheapest. I don't have to wait that long either, the most maybe a half hour. I usually call in my refills and pick them up that day later in the afternoon.
Seems like your Rite Aid is having some real big issues and needs to change if it feels like keeping their customers!

Oddly enough, I have been using a lot of online pharmacies for stuff. The prices are better and I have never had a problem getting them delivered. Even the places in Canada. The only time I take something local is if I know it is going to take more than three days for it to be delivered. Rite Aid in my area is really bad when it comes to doing refills. You can call on Monday to have something refilled and it won't be ready for 72 hours.

I have never used any of the online pharmacies. Do you know if the medicines you get online are the same, as you would get here in the United States, or if there are any quality differences? I have always wondered about that.
Anyway, I have had the same issues with Rite Aid. Actually, there was one time when I had a prescription called into Rite Aid. I waited 2 days to pick it up so that I could be sure it would be ready. When I got there was told that I would have to come back to get it the next day because they were too far behind and could not get to it that day.
They did not even care when I told them that it my doctor had called it in 2 days earlier. It should have been ready and waiting for me. I ended up going without my medications that day and half of the next because even when I got there the next afternoon to pick them up they told me that it would be about 2 hours.

I use my insurance's mail order service for my long term meds....and CVS for my other meds. I have had very little trouble with CVS. I recommend them if you have any in your area.
