What are your views on gay marriage? What do you think about homosexuals raising children? Adopting them?

I think gay marriages are great. I see no reason why people can't be treated equally. I don't understand why anyone has a problem with this. I think that if my children became orphans and there was no one else to look after them, I would rather they were brough up by a gay couple than left in a children's home. I think they should be able to adopt children, why not? They make better parents than a lot of people because they ahve learnt to deal with the harsher side of the world.

I have always agreed with gay marriage and parenthood, but I never thought of it that way. Come to think about it, dealing with oppresion would be a valuable skill to teach children. Thank you for your thoughts.

My sister in-law is married to another woman, I don't see anything wrong with it. I don't understand why other people do. I think if they are good people they should have every right to adopt. kids adapt to any situation, they wouldn't know any different. Although I can see the problem they could possibly get from other people who didn't agree with it and I suppose other kids could be nasty about the situation.

Kids can be nasty, but another poster brought up the good point that homosexual parents could teach the kid about perseverence! Thanks for the reply, I completely agree.
