men who cry are not real men!!! is that right?

Filipino men specially believe that when men cry this lessen their macho appearance. They are afraid to show to the public that they cry or they will be called sissy or gay. What can you say about this? Agree? or Disagree?

That's absurd. I've heard about it but never had the chance to give my side on it. Well, I guess, I can say my piece now. =) I guess we can blame it to the "old" society that dictates what we should we do and what's not. Men were hindered from crying because it will lessen their so called masculinity. I simply don't believe on that. Men are just like the rest of us who was created with a limited tolerance of pain. And when all of us hit that boundary, we develop grief. Crying is one of our outlet which is basically shouldn't be controlled or we might blow our head off. =)

A real man will show his feelings and not care what others think. I think it is OK for a man to cry and show how he is feeling. If they don't then how can people tell what they are feeling?

It's not true,all man can cry.
If a man is afraid of crying and hides his feelings to others that would make him a coward.
Don't they say that real man are not afraid?
Well if your afraid of crying,that wouldn't make you a man anymore.
If your a real man,then you shouldnt be afraid of anything,not even of crying.
There's many man who are afraid to cry,but when it comes to big problems,they are the first one to run away like a coward,and that would make you more like a sissy.
