Why do people gamble? Is it to relieve pressure? If it is then why do some pepole consider it as a livelihood? If we can consider it as a livelihood... Is it the thrill of winning? Then why do men gamble if the house always win?

It is exciting thinking thatyou could possibly win lots of money when you are gambling. Even though you know that the house always wins there are people who still win a lot of money. As long as you have the belief that the person who wins a lot of money could be you then there will always be a thrill.

People gamble for many reasons. There is a thing called Gambling Addiction, which is a true disorder. These people are unable to stop betting and gambling, even though they are gambling away money that they need to pay bills and to live. Others feel that they can win enough to pay off a few bills, or to take a vacation. Others play for the fun of it and are very controlled; they lose a certain amount of money and then move on. I go to the Casino several times a month, and you're right- the house does win. I may come home winning several hundred dollars one night, but I will lose it the next time that I go. I have a set amount that I will spend, and I will NEVER exceed that, no matter what. I like the stimulation, excitement, and people in the Casino; it's a fun place to spend an evening. If done for the right reasons and within your means, I don't think that there is anything wrong with Gambling.
