... awhole big bunch of them. He took off the the creek hours ago with his friends. I've had things to do and been waiting for him to return so I could get them done. I even walked down to where the creek and the road cross but didn't see them anywhere. So I hear him come in the door and right away, I'm like.. "it's about time" and "where were you?" etc... then he comes around the corner into the living room with a big bunch of pussywillows. Talk about instant forgiveness.. LOL.. I love pussywillows. I'd say that spring is here but I said that the other day when we went for our first riverbank fire of the year and it snowed all the next day.. LOL. Today is sunny but really cold. Like I said earlier, I've got some running around to do so know that I have both kids in one place I'm going to head uptown. Gotta get birthday party supplies for my daughter. Hope you all have a great day! Here's hoping you all get a pleasant surprise yourself today.. something that makes you REALLY smile.

Aww- that's so sweet. We had a pussywillow tree & a lilac bush in our yard when I was a kid. I was always bringing my mother flowers from those.

Lilacs are my favorite flower. I love how their scent is so strong. So pretty. I wish I had my own yard where I could planat lilac bushes.

I love pussywillows. I remember picking them as a child. Today it seems that there are few to be found. We would venture off in the swamps nearby our house and get as many as we could hold in our arms.
