Do you like to discuss new stories?

I am a work at home mom who is the webmaster for www.goodnewsnow.com. My son and I spent the last month making the site interactive. We have a place to leave comments and a forum. What do you think would be a good way to get people to post commnent? We get about 700 visitors a day and 50% of the unique visitors bookmark us? I write comments on the stories. Any input for me?
