anyone hav any good tips on runescape that will help me with my mage?

ok, this is my tip, and it's what i have used on my pure. make, do not buy air runes. buy a staff of earth, and either make or buy mind runes. the reason why you want a staff of earth rather than fire is that the exp gain between earth strike and fire strike aren't very different and you only use 1 air per spell with earth strike, where as you use 2 airs for fire strike. i kill guards on top of varrok castle as you can kill them without needing food when you stand behind some railings (mage/range spot). so ultimately it costs very little to train your mage :)

at level 33, you should use fire strike, craft your own airs, and minds. A great place to cast this is at the mine north of AL Kharid, minners appreciate it when you kill the scorpians, and the scorpians cant attack you. If you are a member, at level 45 camelot tele. It will tkae around 600 teles to get you to 55, where you could high alch. Once you could alch, go with that until 99 (about 130k alchs.) The best things to alch are steel plate bodies, dhide bodies, and yew longs.

i would suggest you use a staff of air or fire If u are rich, then you should use the highest attack spell u can use. Cuz u can buy the runes.. If you are poor, then i would recommend using fire-strike. Just buy a fire staff and buy mind and air runes.. This method helps ur less rune consuming.. Mage = skill that consumes a lot of runes

do a quest that involves mage experience.

Ok this is 1 of the good ways 2 get mage up of free to play. First buy an earth staff body runes and water runes. make sure you have twice as many water runes than bady runes.now go to varrok palace and behind the stairs is an evil monk. cast curse on him. keep doing this til ur out of runes.it doesnt matter if the spell bubbled u still get the same amount of mage exp. wear full iron or wateva to make ur mage att bonus as low as possible. hope i helped =)
