What is your favorite song that has a name of a place in the title? List as many as you like! Here is my list of some good ones:
1) Lodi-Creedence Clearwater Revival
2) Raining in Baltimore-Counting Crows
3) All My Exes Live In Texas-George Strait
4) Chattahoochie-Alan Jackson
I am sure there are more but that will get it going...

LOL how could I forget "Going Through the Big?" The song speaks of a lot my history's truth with a humorous twist. Another one I forgot is "If You're Going to San Francisco" by Scott McKenzie...that one is a great old Hippie song.

OK I can recall two songs with boondocks in it-there is an oldies song (although I don't know who the singer is) with lyrics-"I love her, she love me, but I don't fit in her society, Lord have mercy on a boy from down in the boondocks." OR the recent country song from about a year and half ago from Little Big Town with lyrics "One thing I know, no matter where I go, I keep my heart and soul in the Boondocks." Is either one of those what you are referring to?

I just gotta post the lyrics for Rocky Top. It is such a lively and fun song! Are you familiar with the tune? maybe you can find a file online to hear it.
Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee hills
Aint' no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top
Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink,
but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about that.
Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee
Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top
Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top
Reckon they never will
Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top
Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
Get their corn from a jar
Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee
I've had years of cramped-up city life
Trapped like a duck in a pen
All I know is it's a pity life
Can't be simple again
Rocky Top you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top
Rocky Top Tennessee,
Rocky Top Tennessee
Beautiful Tennessee
