" Car Auctions" !!! Do You Go To Them ?

I go to car auctions maybe 6 times a year. I like all types of cars but i go to buy and then i fix and resell. I do this because i need the extra money. Don't we all? I went last week and i bought one car off of deadrow. Deadrow is called such because the vehicles usually don't run, have no keys, have been neglected, abused, need TLC, "Gee sounds like some wives"! LOL! I paided a little too much but i finally got it running today. I'm happy"! I spent about $40.dollars for parts to get it running and i should make a profit of about $300.dollars easily. The car is a 93 Chrysler Intrepid. It runs very well and is in very good condition. My mechanical knowledge helps me to make some extra money. Take care!

Good for you! No I don't go to car auctions but I have been told that people who buy cars and resell them make a good living from it. Do you always make profit when you resell your cars? Do you always find good bargains at the auctions you go to?

I don't want to make a living at it because i don't trust used car carlots. I don't have a bad reputation selling cars from my home and i won't because honesty works better. I enjoy it too much to always want to make a profit. I have lost money on clunkers haha!, i have sold cars for less than i paid and for what i paid. Family ,friends and others need a break now and then so the profit is not the main thing for me. Yes i'm for real! Until my health improves or whatever my hobby keeps me busy and keeps me out of trouble.LOL! You can't always get good bargains because some bidders have more money. Some bidders pay way too much and that ruins it for other bidders. Take care Votreamie.

The auction for cars that i go to is a public auction, where you have to be there in person! I don't and i won't buy any cars from ebay. If i can't touch, hear or see the car, i won't buy it! You have to pay the money before you can actually see, touch and hear the vehicle you buy! That is to risky! Depending on the size of your city, you could check the local papers or the phone book to see if there are any public car auctions in your area! Here, the police impound yard has a monthly auction for vehicles people can't afford to get out! Vehicles towed away for various reasons, no insurance, impaired driving, broken down etc! I wish you good car hunting and take care Missweety! If you go to an auction, please have with you someone who knows something about good or bad cars! :)
