Do you know where did your parents get your name? / myLot

Well me..i have a sort of history why my parents give me this kind of name...my birthdate falls on Holy Friday at that year so my parents derived my name from a dialect word of friday whic is "Biyernes"..and guess what?i got a propound and a unique name...not common to everyone...:D

i have a unique name as well, although i'm seeing more and more people with the same name. my mom got my name from a pregnancy medicine. she just changed the spelling and that was it. very interesting cause i met a person with the same name as mine and her mother also got it from the same medicine.

My parents got my name from the jeepney which carries us to hospital, since i was delivered inside the jeepney.It was really a different experience.

I'm glad to know also that you too has this history for your name.Its so nice to remember how did our parents gave us the name.It makes our name an extra ordinary one.They say it will add goodluck to a certain vehicle if a child was born on it. I don't know if these beliefs is true but for sure a child always brings goodluck to a family that's maybe one reason why they said it so.Thanks for you post fairygreen...

I think it is really neat to have a special meaning like that for your name. That you are named for something, someone, or some reason. It is also a blessing to have a unique name, isn't it? maybe not in grade school, but as an adult.
