is it the responsibilities of our government or the masses to keep the prices of gasoline and other petroleum products at low rates, and what are the factors responsible for high prices? can the factors be be rectified if not eliminated?

there are factors in determining the oil prices in the world. the law of supply and demand affects everything. there maybe gov't programs which can affect the existing gasoline prices, but to lower it to the desired rate would be next to impossible. the gov't may remove levies on fuel prices but it will only affect the prices in a very small amount. The oil producing countries clearly exerts control over non-oil producing countries which are dependent on other countries and oil companies for their fuel needs. the law of supply and demand is being manipulated for the oil companies to maximize their profits.

I think youre a Filipino and in the Philippines..am i right? My answer is no for your question in the tags. The government is doing nothing, even if she liked he can do nothing, she has no intention to do anything to lower the prices of oil because of the oil deregulation law.If they repeal that law.. then they can lower the prices of oil if she wants. The factors responsible for the high prices of oil are lies. The war on terror are their own creation to make the prices higher.War against Iraq is another lie to up the price of petroleum and to rake in profit because they are actually the ones in charge of Iraqi oil,i mean the Americans. The oil deregulation law is the biggest contributing factor to make the prices of oil higher. So it must be repealed, this law is created through the lobbying of the big oil companies in America and Europe.
