we travel quite often and have stayed in many hotels, some good some not so good there have been times i have cancelled my room after seeing it and times i wish i had. sometimes we look at the rooms on the internet before choosing and get there and it isnt at all like what was shown on the internet. i have had some great times like the middle of the week upgrades and some not so good, kids running in the hall all night, doors slamming, wondering who slept in this bed last, the room not so clean, the best rooms i have found are in the casinos, great service and very clean( I guess thats so i will come back and give them more of my money lol) also the marriot at niagra falls on the canadian side wow what a view and the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. what experiences have you had good or bad are there any real good hotel chains that you use often?

Hotel - Black Bear Casino Cloquet MN
I also prefer the Casino Hotels. They seem to tend to and cater more to us as we are spending more cash than just for the room. I can call up the desk asking for say an extra towel or robe and in no time theres a knock on the door. The rooms are very well kept and there definitely isn't a problem with kids unless you're near the pool. I always request a room 4 floors or more above the pool to avopid the noise of people in the halls going to and from the casino floor & the pool area. I also like Mariotte a lot. Another place to be treated very well. Thanks for this discussion. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

i so agree grandpa i have never waited long for anything i ask for, i dont think people should bring kids to a casino hotel but they do and i also ask to be away from the pool area as i dont like the noise. we got a special treat on thanksgiving eve we were offered the exec. sueit as they were not booked and wow what a treat that was i didnt know weather i wanted to go down to the casino or stay in my room.lol

When the wife and I stay at a casino near home we invite the daughter and grandsons over for some pool time. They don't stay though. The kids love it.
