Even if you did not have food that was marked with the recalled dates, did you throw it all out and buy new food? Have you seriously thought about buying another brand of food?

I threw out one that was the same brand but the same flavor just in case. It was only one. I usually never bought those but only as a wet treat for my dog (son). We always give him dry Beneful and he loves it!

I think boycotting is a great way we as petowners can send a message. Luckily, my cats eat wellness wet food and Felidae dry food...I stopped feeding them Iams a long time ago- i'm not a big fan it - the ingrediants say it all.

We buy only Nutro for our cats and the reason why is the ingredients. The majority of cats food people feed their cats is full of by products, Nutro is not. I spent over an hour in Petsmart reading labels before making the decsion of what to feed our cats.

I will not use those foods at all. I changed my brand. But, who's to say it won't happen to another brand. Such a horrible experience for so many. And those poor animals.

That is my view on it. So it happened to these brand, if I switch it can happen to the new brand as well. As of right now I am not going to change brands because I think this outbreak will cause this company to be more cautious.

Unknowingly my best friendhad one of the brands of wet dog food in her cabinet and has been feeding it to her dog. When she found out she took it out and took it back to the store so they can return it. She was almost crying because she had already fed her dog the food and with what the news was saying about the problems it was causing in animals she is fearfull for her dog. I Have 2 cats and I checked the list for the food I have and luckily 9lives was not on the list at all and neither was Science Diet for Indoor Cats which is what I wil get for my cats. Plus I dont get wet food and it seemed it was only wet food that was on the list. I only buy my cats dry food because it is not as expensive and lasts longer. The ony time they get wet food is on the holidays. They deseerve a special hoilday meal like what er get.
