On the news the boy scout that was lost in the mts of NC spent 4 nights with sub zero temps, steep ledges, and wild animals to be found alive and will do fine.Isn't it amazing that he survived this ordeal.Do you think you could have? R

Miraculous - that is all I can say. Thank God! I don't know if I could survive this - I would not have thought anyone could. Can you imagine if he was your son, the feelings you would have gone through - mindblowing!

I would not be able to survive, I would not have a clue what to do and what to eat and how to find shelter from the cold, I lived in the city all my life and I went camping only once.

That's not too far from me so I was following the story. The temps dipped just below freezing but he had 2 jackets. He was a boy scout too, so I was confident he would be found alive. There's really no wild animals to be concerned about. Maybe a black bear, in search of food. Here's an article- http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/nation/4648055.html

Honestly and truly no I do not believe that I would have done. I hate the cold and I am easily cold but I am surprised that he survived that as I would not have thought that anyone would.

wow, it is a miricale that he survived. How did he end up in the forest? Were the kids supervised? It makes you wonder when stuff like this happens. The main thing is he is save and the family if ok.

He decided he didn't like camping so told another boy he was going home.He thought he could find a highway and hitch hike home. R
