Has your pet been hurt from this tainted food issue? I am so very, very sad over this.
I have a 16 pound Maine Coone cat and I've been ridiculed in the past for feeding her tuna. Well, I am now very glad that I do! She also eats dry food, but her main diet is tuna. I am rejoicing because I don't know what I'd do if I lost my Weebles kitty. She is like our child. My husband and I both would be devastated if something happened to her. Especially something as needless as this!! I fear if she would have eaten that food, she for sure would have died because she already has beginning stages of kidney failure.
I am posting the webiste address and phone numbers for anyone here who is not aware of this recall and the impact the tainted food has had on peoples pets.

I read about the recall in the paper but my animals eat dry food only and their brand wasn't on the list so they are safe until the next scare comes around.

Such a cute kitty! Mine gets organic Newman's Own cat food. At about $20 every six weeks, I think the price is very worth it and I spend less time worrying about the quality of his food. No one I know would eat canned cat food, so why would I feed that to my cat? I had not heard about this recall, so I appreciate you bringing it to attention. It should be noted, though, that it's a precautionary recall due to a handful of reports that were not substantiated by any official or independent research. So there is a good chance these foods were not even contaminated in any way. Still, with US meat barely tested for disease even when fed to humans I highly recommend researching any food you feed your cat or other meat-eating animal.
