Why do married men cheat

I mean i know we are all not saints here but why is it so many married men cheat if u wasnt ready to get married then why did u get married. And if ur tired of the marriage then why dont you just leave them marriage and move on as a single man. I never can understand the reason why men can cheat on there wives and when they get caught dont want her to leave them even though they know there wrong. They big cry and plead say they will never do it again and then they do it again whats up with that just wondering
