What is the most haunted place in your state? I recently moved to Indiana, so I have no clue about the hauntings around here. But in Michigan I know the most haunted place is near Eloise, which was a mental hospital. it's actually the graveyard where they buried the people that died at Eloise. I have stories about that graveyard, amongst many other places. If you know of any in your state, do tell....I would LOVE to hear about them1

Can I come over for a visit? (joking) I love that kind of thing. The more ghosts, the merrier. I have lived most of my life with some "extra" senses, and I know how to use them. Our house here has at least one. I know he doesn't like me, but I think that has to do with the fact that I know he is here. He is very private. Weird, right?

What types of things happen Carolee? I used to live in a house that had a spirit as well. It would kind of creep me out sometimes.

I used to live in Southern Indiana, in between Indianapolis and Louisville. Let me tell you there are some real haunted spots in that area. I can't remember the names of any specific ones though. You could do a lookup on Vallonia, Seymour, Brownstown, and areas around there. I live in Southern Oregon now, and we have Wagon Trail Road just outside of Jacksonville. It has some horrific happenings, rumored to be caused by the souls of old gold miners that settled the area in the 1800's. Here is a great web page for other haunted sites in Oregon. We have many. I love it. http://theshadowlands.net/places/oregon.htm

Awesome! Thank you for the post and the link. I will totally check it out. If you ever want a good and creepy story/place look up Donovan House in Dexter Michigan. Two kids killed their parents with good reason. I have been there...and our incident made me to never want to go back there, and I am not scared of anything. (okay, spiders...but that doesn't count!)

I found this on the shadowlands spot, and thought you might think it was interesting. http://www.theshadowlands.net/places/indiana.htm Hobart - Lake Station - New Chicago - Hobart Township - River Forest Junior and Senior High Schools- The River Forest Junior and Senior High Schools are connected. Outside of the school there are tennis courts, before they were tennis courts there used to be a pool that was used for gym class. The reason that the tennis courts were built is because a boy drowned in the pool during gym class one day. He is sometimes seen and heard in the High School gym, Junior High multi-purpose Room, High School Cafeteria, and throughout the High School halls. He is usually not seen during school hours. Most of the people who see him have seen him while staying late for after-school activities or games. One lunch lady has actually claimed to having conversations with the boy. When asked about it she replied: "The first time I saw him it frightened me, but now I am not scared, and I know he means no harm. He is just a lost soul stuck on Earth. I was walking out to my car, which was parked near the tennis courts and I saw him standing inside the gate of the tennis court. He was staring at me so I asked him what he was doing there. He told me that he had drowned. I asked him his name and he disappeared. Now, whenever I talk with him he disappears if I ask his name, which I find very odd."

I live on the isle of wight which is meant to be one of the most haunted places in the world. There are loads of books called "Ghosts Of The Isle Of Wight" I think there's at least 8. You can also go on Ghost Walks they have them all over the Island now it's like a tour of all the most haunted places. I've never actually seen a Ghost but there are some very spooky feeling places, I have had some strange experiences too but I put them down to lack of sleep at the time.
