North Korea has once again backed out of talks designed to eleminate nuclear weapons or means to create them. The reason they have stated is that they still have no received their $30 million from a bacau bank in china which the U.S. reports was being used for money laundering. The U.S. found the bank guilty, which no longer deals with North Korea, but the funds themselves were handed back to the bank. Now China does not want to handle the money for North Korea due to legal implications, and as it seems China is now the actual reason that North Korea has boycotted the talks.
Do you think North Korea is sincerely attempting to remove it's nuclear program or is it just using a stall tactic in order to buy time?

Its just a stall tactic. Kim Jong Il will never abandon this program because it brings him attention.

I think that the given excuse as stated by Taiguy is legit: If North Korea had its money in some bank and the USA government interferred with its money, then the US should return the funds before talks begin. By the way, why are you all so very concerned about North Korea and its possible WMD, when the USA (a nation known to have actually used WMD on another nation) Russia and Israel are yet to comply with UN's NPT on WMD?

I think the difference with NPT is that, for example, israel has never threatened to destroy an entire country where in the case of Iran they continually threaten to "wipe israel off the map". In the case of North Korea there is the invitation for Kim to proliferate the WMD to other countries or terrorist groups. In the case of Russia, U.S., and Israel the opposite is pushed for (hence the NPT).

Well, Netsbridge sees nothing but a double standard! And about Iran and Israel, I think Iran is simply defending its territory against nomad Israel that is actually bent on claiming its Biblical "promised land."

Hi Netsbridge,
Are you aware that the money was in part confiscated because the North Korean government was found to be complicit in counterfitting U.S. currency?
If I understand you correctly, we should spend our capital to find out who is counterfitting our funds, then return the laundered funds to the North Korean government. In what world does that make any sense?
