I saw a quote once that I love...You can complain that roses have thorns or you can rejoice because thorns have roses. That may not be the exact wording, but it was like that. I love that. When things get rough or hard, I think of this saying and try to find the silver lining. :)

The old fashion, "Golden Rule" is my motto. Do un too others, as you want them to do to you. I live my life like that.

Plain and simple...never give up. Anything worth having or doing takes effort and persistence.

My motto is "To be Better tomorrow than I was today" I try really hard to accomplish that goal. It is a way to improve a little at a time and still see results. I write in my journal each day and that is where I can see my results. I have also try "To Be better than I am today is better than to be better than someone else" Meaning that I try to not compare myself to someone else. They do not have the same trials that I do. I try to compare myself to myself at an earlier time.

To love with all that I have and live life to it's fullest. To stop and smell the roses every chance I get, and I do. Life is what you make of it, so make it the best.

I guess I could say Been There Done That !!! Done What ? Well I always said if one day I was fortunate enough to have a daughter and if I could be just half the mother I wish, hoped and prayed my mother could have been I would be happy. My Motto was I want to be the best Mother any woman could be. My mother treated me very poorly from birth she never wanted me and that never changed. I had a daughter in 1972 and I have lived up to my motto. I'm very proud of her the way she grew up and for the mother she herself is today, but I'm equally as proud of myself and for the biggest part of her life I was a single parent.

If I had to pick a motto, I think I'd pick 'behind every cloud there is a silver lining.' Challenges always come, along with stormy days and disappointments, and I like to try and find the positive side of whatever happens. Life's too short to be depressed about the negatives that happen in life. I'd rather look at the flip side of the coin and see if there isn't some positive that can come out of the negative.

Well I guess it's what I usually tell my friends.."Reach around and get a grip" Much easier said than done, I know. I think it's probably the best advice I could give myself right now. I'm not having much of a life right now. But I'm working on it...it's just far a reach..lol

Treat others how you would like to be treated yourself. All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. ( means everyone deserves respect, no matter who they are)

"Live and let live" that's what I live by. There are other mottos pertaining to this like for example, take everyhing that people say with a grain of salt and try to understand it from the other party's point of view. I guess I just don't like confrontations and I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions.

For most of my life my motto has been "If it's to be it's up to be" and it has served me very well. But lately "Live, Laugh, Love" seems to suit me a little better. Good discussion, crazynurse, but you didn't tell us yours.
