HotEnough.org....does anyone else feel like this is wrong?

I read a news story today about a site called HotEnough.org . They claim that on the internet dating scene there are just not enough "hotties", so inorder to post a profile on their site you must submit at least 3 pics and one must be a full-body shot. Other users then rate you, and if you score an 8 or higher before being allowed to join as a full member for 9.95/month. Is it just me, or is this just a bit to shallow? Does this mean that if I were to submit a pic and be rated a 7.5 that I'm not date-able? How crude have we as a society become that this type of dating site is necessary?

That's horrible! Who are they to judge what is hot or not? Peoples idea of beauty ranges a lot. DOn't people have enough self esteem issues without websites adding to them?

exactly...I can understand a picture rating site like hot or not for those who truly arecurious, but making a high rating a prerequisite for finding a date? that's absurd!!!

I agree with you-that is pretty hardcore and VERY shallow. I would not even want to put my face up on something like that, because of the fear of rejection. Besides if it is based on how "hot" you are from the beginning, then those type of people must be too far into themselves, which is not the kind of person I want to be dating.

Exactly, does personality not matter anymore? I myself would never even consider it, but honestly I feel sorry for those folk who do and then don't "make the cut" I can't imagine how degrading that must feel.

Here's what I've got to say to the people posting their pics on the dateing site HotEnough.org.
"If your personality is so bad that even with your great looks you need to use an internet dating service, you have a problem that "good looks" can't fix. Look within and fix the ugliness there."

I don't know that it is wrong. This is the way alot of people think these days. If that is how they want to be percieved than I guess it is the right site for them. If you don't like it then you don't have to join. I personally wouldn't like it.
