links promoting your own referrals. I have noticed a lot of discussions have been started in this way. I found this today and you may want to check ou this link because most likely your discussion will be deleted eventually. It is okay to respond with your referral link where it is appropriate to a discussion. If you post a referral link in a response when no body has asked for it then I am pretty sure your response will also be deleted. www.mylot.com/w/discussions/457762.aspx

I have been searching for discussions to respond to and I am amazed at the amount of people who are using myLot just to post their referral links and they are not all newbies either. Some of the posts I have seen are posted by people who think they can do much better on other sites but they only way they can do it is by getting lots of referrals. I just just scroll past these posts as I do not consider them to be topics for discussion.

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in having to scroll through worthless discussions to find something interesting to respond to. I really thought that I was alone in searching for relevant discussions based on the responses I have seen.

I never put referral links on my discussions, nor do I promote any other program on My Lot. I figured that My Lot isn't really about that.

I am glad you posted this topic as I find it very annoying that so many people are abusing this site by using it just to post their referral links. I have noticed too that all of these posts are being deleted by myLot just as soon as they are reported or sooner if the moderators notice them.

I haven't posted any referral links and I think the only area I would is in the 'make extra money' category - except all the sites have been listed there already so there's little point! I think that topic is suitable for referral links but they shouldn't be posted anywhere else on mylot.

I've noticed the same thing lately. I don't know if the discussion will be automatically deleted or if it needs to be marked for abuse to be deleted. With the huge increase in mylot traffic this was bound to happen. Very nice of you to post a link so that the newbies will (hopefully) be made aware of their error.
