How do I delete cookies on my computer?

I have Norton Security, with Yahoo, (it's great) and it does it for me. Every week I have set it to perform a "Full Sweep" where it goes through all my files and deletes (quarantines) all the cookies which are potentially dangerous. If I chance on a dangerous site it also gives me a pop up warning which, to me, is a great safety device and keeps my computer free of viruses.
