Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help my ten year old ADHD get his homework done and turned in? Even when he does it he looses it or shoves it into the bottom of his backpack before it gets to the teacher.

Is your son on medicine for his ADHD? I have a 10 yr old son that is ADHD also. He takes stratera for his. If he doensnt take it he cant concentrate and doenst fisish his work. Talk to his teacher and see if she has any suggestions. It makes for more work on your part but when he gets done with his work make sure it is in a folder in his bookbag and let his teacher know. Maybe he/she can ask him for it each day. Good Luck.

He takes adderall. He is sensitive enough that the teacher will call me within 15 minutes of him getting to school if he misses his dose. He does have a specail folder that the homework goes into, but he tends to open it and , I guess, look at it before he gets to school, and then it winds up where ever he sets it and forgets it.
