The kids and I were all craving some ice cream so we made a trip to the local DQ. They now have the new Waffle Cone Sundae, which looks soooo yummy. I went through the drive thru and my children and I saw the pictures of them and we all said we want one of those. I asked the lady at the drive thru how much those are. Oh my gosh!! Those things cost almost $4.00 each!! I know that so many things cost more than what they should and the prices of everything are soaring..but wow!! $4.00 for one sundae, does anyone else believe this is somewhat steep??? I opted to get us all ice cream cones instead of paying almost $16.00 for 4 desserts!! That is nuts!! (no pun intended)

Everything is inflated and our salaries are still down. Just ice cream in a parlor, can cost up to $7.00 each. So, with a family it is outrageous. Do you remember movies? Now it is $9.50 each, and $5.00 for popcorn. It's an arm and a leg for an hour or two of entertainment.

Yes you are absolutely correct! The cost of everything has increased except for our saleries have stayed the same..or even went down for those who have lost their jobs. It is very very costly to go out for a night of entertainment for a family. Here in our local movie theatre we can go to the movies on Sunday during the day for a really cheap price, last I knew it was $2.00. I believe it is still the same. That is a great time to go and you don't have to spend much money..unless you want to get popcorn/pop and other goodies, then that is where they get ya. Thanks for your response.

Yeah that is just nuts when you can get Ben and Jerrys 2 for $5..lol But everything is going up there...even the price of soda. But I have to say that sometime you'll have to splurge and get one. I love their frozen coffee and I dont even like coffee....but they are high too. But it is well worth it every once in a while.

I agree with you, I mean the price is crazy if you are planning to take your family out for a treat..but I guess we may go once in a blue moon. Or maybe when you and I are out together we could stop in for a treat..lol Is that wrong of me? I don't think so, I think when the kids are at school we should go for one sometime this coming week. Lets make plans for that & we can decide if they are good enough to spend that much money on them for our kids..lol Ha ha ha. Love ya

Oh my...I can see your point. $4.00 each is outrageous, especially for Dairy Queen. When I first started reading your post, I was like, "yipppeeee. Hold me back." But once I got to the price my feet skidded to a stop in their tracks. I too will stick with a regular cone.
