Do you care about it, while travelling by public transport?

I have a friend of mine who really cares, while travelling through public transport, about the Bus or coach apparent condition, the seat must be in front rows, the number of seat must be by choice etc. Sometimes even he left the vehicle only for the reason not to have a seat of choice. I think, while travelling one must care about but not upto that level at the cost of getting late. What you people think? Do you care about certain things while travelling within the city or inter-city? Looking forward for your comments. Thanks in anticipation.

If there are many buses around then i will be selective in choosing the place but if suppose there is only one bus then i will select the best seat in the available bus. Even the case of urgency matters. On urgent conditions i travel even without a seat to sit. We cant expect everything to happen according to our conveniece :)

Personally I could care less about where I'm at while traveling. I just want to know that I have a spot on the transportation that I am taking and that I am able to get to the place I need to be on time.
