Would You Rather Be Able to Fly Or Read Peoples Thoughts

I think I would rather read peoples thoughts because people wont know you are doing it. But if people see you flying around....ahh, who knows what will happen! lol. Plus it might make school a lot easier, and life more amusing. And I think it would be good to know when people are lying to you and to know what they really think of you or something.

After reading the other responses and where you explained that we could be selective about reading peoples thoughts then I might just prefer to do that rather than flying. It would mean that the next time I ask my bank manager for a loan, I wouldn't have to wait for a week to know whether of not he was going to give it to me. I would know there and then if he was going to give it to me and I might even close my account or ask for a bigger loan, ha ha.

lol! there you go, that would be putting the mind reading to good use! lol. One thing I would love to use it for is to see what my teachers really think of me lol. If they like me or not, and if they like my work! :)

There are people in my family, friends and colleagues who usually have much to say and express about their feelings and problems. They come to me to ask for advice, suggestions, solutions or sometimes just my sympathetic ears to voice their feelings and problems. It really feels good to help somebody out, but sometimes i feel that they are not being able to express themselves specially when they are much distressed and in panic. True emotions and feelings can't be exactly and precisely expressed by words. At that moment i feel that i should be knowng more about their problem, i should be exactly knowing their feeling to help them out. So i would go for the reading people's thoughts with a filter to their very private matters. Flying can be fun and i would love to do that but i find it somewhat selfish to chose something which only benefits myself and leave people who seek my help. How can i enjoy myself, if people around me are in trouble! So between these two options, i will be selecting, reading thoughts.

I would rather be able to fly. I've always thought flying would be the best super power to have. Except, of course, for never getting hurt or feeling pain. If you could fly, you could fly up to burning buildings and save people when it would be too dangerous for the firemen to enter. I would also like to join the birds who I envy when I see them going by my window. They look so free. I think that would be cool.

Ooo good response! You defeniatly swayed my opinion a bit with that saving people from burning buildings comment. I never thought about that! But I would like that very much!! I always thought that being able to transform into anything would be the best superpower...because I could still save people with that power :P lol.

I think I'd rather be able to read people's thoughts. First of all, I'm not all that comfortable with heights, so that kinda takes some of the shine out of being able to fly. And I think being able to read someone's thoughts is a more useful "superpower," in day-to-day life... especially when forming friendships and relationships. Of course, like with all superpowers, you have to be careful to not "abuse the privilege."

I would much rather be able to fly....ah the freedom of it all. I would not want to be able to read people's thoughts. I think eaves dropping is a sinful act and that people's thoughts are their own to do as they wish with, it is not for me to be infringing on their privacy. If I could read their thoughts, I might assume too much from them. Their thoughts are between themselves and the Good God.

Ohhh. That is a tough one. I would have to say read peoples thoughts...though I don't know if my feelings would stay the same once given that power. Although I try to be a very kind and considerate person, you can't please everyone all of the time...and at some time, you might get the "negative vibe". That might be a little hard to take. Very good question!

I would definitely read people's thoughts! Think of all the good would come of it! You would know if someone was thinking of doing something that would harm another and be able to do something to stop it. And if it were common enough, one could go to the police and report reading another's thoughts and they would be able to watch that person. We wouldn't need to waste time in courts. The whole jury would be filled with people that could read thoughts. Ask a few questions of the defendant and trial is over! :) Or how about knowing what your partner really thinks! You could make someone a very happy person if you know their thoughts...AND a very faithful person because they know there would be NO secrets. ha ha

Hmm...I think I would like to be able to fly. I could go into town every day without being caught up in heavy traffic and I could also fly to my favourite holiday destinations. I could save a fortune this way and have more to spend on shopping. I would just have to think of a way to carry all my merchandise while flying.

The only problem with reading peoples thoughts is, you may not like what is going on in other peoples minds, it might just be boring rubbish and then the people you think are so fascinating now end up losing their appeal. Also you might find that when you think you are being witty and clever in conversation your friends are all thinking you are boring! I think knowing what everyone is thinking is a sure way to become unhappy and possibly crazy, how often could you stand to find out that most people only think about themselves? At least if you can fly you can find a good view and lots of variety in the scenery, I am sure most peoples thoughts would become very repetative in no time flat amd would soon bore you to tears.

No question about it at all, I would rather be able to fly than to read people's thoughts. This is such a great interest subject, I didn't even know it was here. Great discussions!

I would have to go with read minds because if i was flying around people would notice! I would be put in a labotory and studied like a guni pig. But with mind reading i could live my life without fear of being caught!

I'd rather read people's thoughts. Flying is a thing that'll get noticed immediately and I wouldn't want to be caught in a room with some probing scientists trying to find out how come I can fly :) I always thought reading people's thoughts would be a very interesting capability. I sometimes wonder what was someone thinking when he/she did this or that. So of course I would like to get my answers LOL :) Offtopic: I love your avatar and Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite movies :)

I would rather fly because it is really cool. I wouldnt want to read peoples thoughts because it is an invasion of their privacy and I wouldnt like to know if someone though bad of me because it would make me feel bad.

I think it would be cool to be able to fly. I've always wanted to fly.. No more traffic jam if you can fly. Anyway, I don't want to be able to read people's mind. It will be too noisy around me if I can read everybody's mind. And yet, I might be upset if they think bad about me. So, I'd rather not know their thought. Flying is great. Hehe. Human always want to fly, don't they?

I would prefer readin minds as you said it would be easy to know what people are thinking about any topic. But only for a short time. Cause i'm sure I wouldnt be happy if i would read any negative comments about me. So maybe i would prefer not to. You could also wead out who's being honest with you and not just b'sing. as everything it has its pro's and con's.
