When my sister's 4 1/2 month old daughter, Olivia, died from a rare condition called Zellweger Syndrome, my sister was devastated. She decided to create the Zellweger Baby Support Network to help other families with children with this rare disease. She had received a crocheted blanket for Olivia that had been donated to the hospital. That blanket meant so much to my sister, we decided we would like to help donate blankets as well. I taught my sister to crochet and we started Hugs & Kisses Crafters. We have several crocheters around the country that participate in donatation events to hospitals around the country - often in memory of one of the Zellweger Babies to the hospital that serviced the family. It is very healing for all those involved. If you would like information on how to participate in a future donation event, please visit our website at www.groups.msn.com/hugskissescrafters - we need more volunteers! I am also trying to start a local chapter, so if you are in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee, let me know.

Hi DayDreamBeliever: Wow that is so touching. So sorry for your lost. I do crochet, although I am not an expert, I have made baby blankets for friends and some throws for family members. I am currently working on a baby blanket for one of my friends that is having her baby in June. I would love to try to help. I will look at the website. I think that is so beautiful for you two to start such a venture. Unfortunately, I don't live in Tennessee, but I would be willing to crochet some blankets and send them as I finish each one. I haven't been to the website yet, I am sure more info is on there, but you can send me an email through mylot also and we can get better acquainted. Best,
