smoking takes 5 minutes of your life with every stick

yes. i do believe so. i have read about it in health magazines years ago. i think most smokers are aware of this fact. it's just that they are in denial about it. i do believe that smoking is one slow way of killing yourself. a smoker might not immediately feel it's bad effects but sooner or later, he/she will suffer and might even die from it.

Ok, although i dont smoke and i dont agree with it i really dont believe your statement. You need to look at the bigger picture. I worked out that if you smoke 20 a day that i know a lot of people do that involves 'taking' 25 days of your life every year. so lets say you have been smoking since you were 20, and you are now 50. Thats 30 years of smoking right. Multiply that by the 25 days and you have 1250 days. Thats 3.4 years!! I think that people should look at the other side effects of smoking, it makes you smell, its bad hygenie, fingers and hair go yellow. All fairly nasty facts forgetting the fact that you may get cancer etc.

well, its not a statement i made up. its from a study i read years ago. in fact, i don't really know if it actually is true. but whats so unbelievable with 3.4 years? if you're life span is supposed to reach 100 then you only get to live 96.6 years instead, right? and come to think of it, if you smoke 20/day, you may not even get close to 60. you could die, most probably, with cancer.
