What do you do when your best just is not good enough?

If you have given something your best effort, and tried everything that you know to try in a situation and you find that your best just is not good enough for whatever it is you're trying to attain or accomplish. Do you redouble your efforts, give up, quit?

Yeap ... usually, I do give up ... its so discouraging to me when i put everything into something and really try very hard but am not appreciated for my efforts ... if they only find fault in all my attempts and my efforts to do it right ... it usually crushes me ... and i give up ... and go do something somewhere else ...

It happened to me way back 2004, I organized a concert for a cause, knowing that this would benefit our lessfortunate kids,I gave my best shot, best effort and myself for the project..only to find out that my best is not good enough.
I was lonely and deppressed for a while and yes it took me sometime to recover through the help of some dear friends.But I never gave up..I ask God to restore me and renew my strength and I accepted that God's plan do always prevails.,not mine.
I'm into another big project again this year (after 3 years) and I'm again giving my best shot and double efforts but not expecting too much cause it hurts even more when you have high expectations..I have learned to surrender to God and commit to Him everything including this project.
